The "Buteşti Gorges": A stone story of the past on earth, located near the village of Buteşti on an area of 110 ha, the Camenca River digs a picturesque gorge through the row of toltres. Among them, the "Uriaşul" stands out with a length of over 2000 meters, a width of 125 meters and a height of 40 meters.

The day will begin with a transfer to Suta de Movile (The Hundred Hills) Landscape Reserve, a unique geological phenomenon in the space between Prut and Dniester rivers. Head for a kayaking experience on Dniester river. The tour will start from the basecamp in Vadul lui Voda and goes to Corjova village. Being transported to Corjova village, tour participants will have the opportunity to get acquainted with the beautiful rural sightseeing, churches, local houses, located along the road, and which belong to local cultural patrimony. You will see a nice calm river, with very few people as you are passing only near one village, but lots of birds, cows, horses, and if you are lucky even boars. A measured rafting along the calm flow of the Dniester River from the village of Corjova to Vadul lui Voda. With a stop for rest, swimming, snack. Along the way there are several islands that we will go to if possible. All kayaking experiences take around 4-5 hours. Late lunch break (lunch boxes).

The number of tourists who come to visit the Republic of Moldova is increasing

Over 20% more tourists have chosen to visit the Republic of Moldova during the period of January to June 2023, according to data provided by the National Bureau of Statistics. At the same time, the revenues of travel agencies and tour operators during the same period have increased by nearly 40%.

The total number of tourists in the first six months of the year amounted to 173.4 thousand people. At the same time, the revenues of agencies totaled 1.3 billion lei.

During the examined period, outbound and domestic tourism had the largest share in the total number of tourists and excursionists, accounting for 68.0% and 22.5% respectively, while inbound tourism accounted for 9.5%. In January-June 2023, the data regarding the number of tourists and excursionists who benefited from the services of travel agencies and tour operators exceeded the figures recorded in the corresponding period of 2019 by 14.4 percentage points, the last year before the pandemic.

In January-June 2023, compared to the same period of the previous year, the revenues of travel agencies and tour operators in outbound tourism increased by 347.1 million lei (+38.6%), domestic tourism increased by 22.1 million lei (+39.9%), and inbound tourism increased by 1.3 million lei (+8.9%).

The revenues from tourism activities during the reporting period exceeded 1.4 times the revenues recorded by travel agencies in January-June 2019, the last year before the pandemic.

Officially, in 2022, the Republic of Moldova recorded over 424 thousand tourists, out of which nearly 103 thousand promoted domestic tourism, which is 50% more than the record set in 2020.

3. Cricova Winery and Milestii Mici Winery: The Republic of Moldova is a wine-growing country, ranking among the topmost important wine-producing nations in the world. Moldova is known for its wine, and the Cricova Winery offers a unique photographic experience. You can explore the underground wine cellars and capture the vast collection of wine bottles. The underground cellars of Mileștii Mici hold the world's largest collection of wines (over 1.5 million collectible bottles) and entered the Guinness World Records in 2005.

4. Saharna and Tipova Monasteries: These monasteries are located amidst picturesque cliffs and lush landscapes. The views and the architecture provide excellent subjects for your lens. At Țîpova, on the rocky bank of the Dniester River (approximately 100 km north of Chișinău), lies the largest Orthodox rock monastery in Moldova, also considered one of the largest in Europe. Saharna forms 22 waterfalls, among which the most well-known is the "Groapa Țiganului" Waterfall, with a height of 5 meters.

5. Soroca Fortress : This medieval fortress on the bank of the Dniester River is a photogenic spot. The stone walls, towers, and the surrounding views make for interesting compositions. Soroca Fortress was built at the crossing over the Dniester River, on the site of older fortifications. It is also known as the place where the Moldavian troops, led by the famous statesman Dimitrie Cantemir, and the Russian armies led by Tsar Peter I, gathered during the Pruth Campaign against the Turkish soldiers in the year 1711.

6. Gagauzia Region : This autonomous region has a unique culture and traditions. Capturing the traditional clothing, local markets, and the distinctive architecture can provide a different perspective.

7. Capriana Monastery : This monastery is surrounded by a beautiful forest. The combination of religious architecture and natural surroundings can lead to stunning photos.

Between the villages of Văleni and Slobozia Mare in the Cahul District, Lake Beleu is an ideal place for nature enthusiasts. The lake hosts flocks of pelicans heading towards the Danube, black-winged stilts, great egrets, grey herons, and other birds. From May to July, white and yellow water lilies bloom on Lake Beleu.

10. Cave of Duruitoarea Veche: The "Grota Duruitoarea Veche" is known as an ancient settlement from the Stone Age. It consists of three chambers with a total length of 49 meters, width of 5-9 meters, and is situated above the village of Duruitoarea (Rîșcani District), at a height of 33 meters. Remains of animals, fragments of tools, and traces of primitive humans from around 250-300 thousand years ago have been discovered here.

11. Transnistria: Although a breakaway region, Transnistria has a unique atmosphere. Photographing the Soviet-era relics, memorials, and local life can be intriguing. Also we visit Tighina Fortress (renamed Bender by the Turks) that is an architectural ensemble with an irregular quadrilateral plan, surrounded by wide walls with a thickness of 2.3 - 3 m and tall walls made of limestone and brick. It has 10 artillery bastions at the corners, 11 towers, and 6 gates, all encircled by a stone moat.
