Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Arrive in Chisinau. City Highlights & Local Central Food Market Flavors and Pottery Worshop
Chisinau is a bustling city that blends the old with the new. Arrive and stay at your hotel to kickstart your city break with a Chisinau Walking Tour (2.5 hours). You’ll explore the city’s main parks, Soviet-era and imperial-style buildings, as well as several of the oldest churches in the capital. The tour includes key landmarks such as the Triumphal Arch, the Cathedral, Stephen the Great Monument, Chisinau City Hall, and the main boulevard where many administrative buildings and cultural institutions are located.
Our activities today also include a visit to the The Central Market is the largest and most vibrant open-air food market in Chișinău, covering an area of approximately 3.5 hectares. During this gastronomic experience, visitors will discover fresh seasonal produce, traditional street food, local cheeses, homemade preserves and authentic Moldovan flavors, while interacting with locals and learning about culinary traditions and everyday culture.
After the market, enjoy a hands-on Pottery Workshop with a local artisan, where you can create your own unique piece to take home as a special souvenir, combining creativity with cultural immersion. A handcrafted and wheel thrown ceramics. Dinner in a local traditional restaurant.
Return to the hotel in Chisinau and overnight.
Day 2: Cricova Winery – Orheiul Vechi – Pub Crawl and Wine Tasting Tour in Chisinau
After breakfast you will be taken to Old Orhei Natural Reserve, that’s situated about 50km north of Chisinau. You will visit the most interesting archaeological site housing the ruins of two cities (14th-16th century). Continue with a visit to the well-maintained Orthodox Peştera Cave Monastery, which was expanded and modified inside the cliffs by monks over the centuries. In Old Orhei we will visit the Ethnographic Museum, the Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology, the Tatar Bath, the Defense Wall, the Museum - the Craftsmen's House.
In the Old Orhei complex we can arrange a culinary masterclass. During this hands-on workshop, participants learn how to prepare classic Moldovan dishes such as plăcinte (stuffed pies) or mămăligă (cornmeal porridge) and seasonal local specialties under the guidance of a local cook. The class takes place in an authentic rural setting, using fresh ingredients sourced from nearby gardens and farms, giving visitors both a taste of real village life and a deeper appreciation for Moldova’s culinary traditions.
Lunch with traditional food at an agro-pension in Butuceni or Trebujeni village.
We’ll continue with an excursion to the wine cellars of Cricova, which is one of the largest wine cellars in Moldova. The wines they store name the roads. This "wine city" has its warehouses, tasting rooms and other facilities underground. It goes down to over 340 feet below ground and holds 1.25 million bottles of rare wine. Here we enjoy wine tasting 4 samples of wine + 1 sparkling wine + snacks.
Return to Chisinau and experience a Pub Crawl and Wine Tasting Tour.

Day 3: Explore cultural heritage of Chisinau by bike and experience a Wine Painting Workshop
Explore Chișinău from a fresh perspective on a half-day bike tour that blends culture, green spaces, and everyday city life at an easy, enjoyable pace. Led by a local guide, you’ll zip along narrow streets, pass significant monuments, and enjoy the city’s mix of Soviet-era architecture, historic sites, and lush parks— all with the convenience and ease of a bike.
You will start with a visit to the National Museum of History of Moldova, home to one of the country’s most important cultural collections. The museum preserves over 340,000 artifacts, illustrating Moldova’s history from prehistoric times to the modern era.
Next, we will visit the Central Cemetery, one of Moldova’s most notable cemeteries, founded in 1811 and now recognized as a national historical, artistic, and architectural monument, followed by the Victory Memorial.
Lunch time. The day will culminate in a
Wine Painting Workshop, where you will taste six carefully selected Moldovan wines accompanied by delicate snacks while learning about local terroir, legends, and inspirations. Guided by a professional Moldovan artist, you will create your own painting on canvas, combining wine, art, and creativity into a unique, hands-on experience that you can take home as a memorable souvenir. Free time and overnight in Chisinau.
Day 4: Departure Day. Chisinau International Airport transfer
In the morning drive to Chisinau International Airport from where you will board your flight to next travel destination.
