The tour bring two cultures, histories, and landscapes together in one journey. Travel from Moldova’s authentic villages, monasteries, and wine routes to Romania’s medieval cities, painted monasteries, and Carpathian scenery—without changing the rhythm of your trip. Rich in traditions yet refreshingly diverse, these tours offer a deeper understanding of Eastern Europe through shared heritage and unforgettable cross-border stories.
Tour Itinerary:
You will be met by your guide at Chisinau International Airport and transferred to your hotel by private vehicle. Check in at your hotel. In the afternoon, enjoy a Chisinau Walking Tour (2.5 hours). You’ll explore the city’s main parks, Soviet-era and imperial-style buildings, as well as several of the oldest churches in the capital. The tour includes key landmarks such as the Triumphal Arch, the Cathedral, Stephen the Great Monument, Chisinau City Hall, and the main boulevard where many administrative buildings and cultural institutions are located.
After the city tour, you can have a walk through downtown and explore the city centre on your own.
The tour begins with a visit to Curchi Monastery, one of the most beautiful and significant monastic complexes in the Bessarabia region. Surrounded by forests, orchards and gentle hills, the monastery offers a peaceful and picturesque atmosphere.
At Old Orhei Natural Reserve, you will have the opportunity to visit the most interesting archaeological site housing the ruins of two cities (14th -16th century). Tatars settled here on their expansion to Western Europe. Continue with a visit to the well-maintained Orthodox cave monastery called St. Maria Dormata which was expanded and modified inside the cliffs by monks over the centuries. Here you will explore the remains of medieval settlements and visit a cave monastery, carved directly into the limestone cliffs and still active today.
Lunch will be served in the traditional village of Butuceni, where you will enjoy authentic Moldovan cuisine.
Next, we continue with wine cellars of Cricova, which is one of the largest wine cellars in Moldova. It boasts a mere 200 km of labyrinthine roadways and tunnels, which have existed under Cricova since the 15th century, when limestone was dug out to help build the city of Chisinau. They were converted into an underground wine emporium in the 1950s. Half of the roadways are used for wine storage. The oldest wine dates back to 1902. The temperature is maintained at about 54 °F all year round (which is perfect for wine).
Enjoy wine tasting 4 samples of wine + 1 sparkling wine + snacks.
Return to the hotel in Chisinau and overnight.
Day 3: Tiraspol and Bender. Back in the USSR Transnistria Tour and visit of Brandy factory
Meeting at the hotel and drive to Bender, that’s about 70km south-east of Chisinau. Visit to Bender Fortress that dates back from the 16th century, built by the Moldavian ruler Stefan cel Mare as a part of the defense chain on the Nistru river. In 1538, as the city became the part of the Ottoman empire, the sultan, Suleiman the Magnificent, rebuilt the fortress in stone, and renamed the city as Bender. Will explore soviet architecture in Bender: Tighina Military Cemetery, Bendery train station, The Gorky cinema, local Mosaics.
Departure to Tiraspol. Lunch in a traditional soviet-style restaurant or bistro in Tiraspol.
Cognac tour at Kvint Factory in Tiraspol. Here we will spend at least 2 hours in Kvint, a famous cognac company that keeps 11 million liters of spirits aged from 1 to 60 years and offers great freedom to local masters for developing new flavors since 1897. We will take you around the company museum, their modern assembly line and the huge collection of barrels. You will learn from a Kvint Factory sommelier how the refined taste of cognac and the rich aroma of chocolate can make a perfect combination. Here we do excursion + 5 Divins (30 ml of each)
In Tiraspol we visit the buildings of the Soviets, the monument of Suvorov, Central Market. Notable places to visit include the Vladimir Lenin monument and the tanks left over from WWII. Most of the sites could be seen by walking down the main street, called October 25th Street in honour of the 1917 October Socialist Revolution.
Will explore Soviet architecture in Tiraspol: Lenin monument, Suvorov monument, Memorial of Glory, Theater from 1936, University of Taras Shevcenko, House of Soviets, the Soviet parks of Tiraspol.
At evening departure back to Chisinau.
Departure to Hâncești town for a visit to the Manuc Bey Mansion. Built in 1816, this architectural monument stands as one of the most remarkable historical estates in the country, offering an insight into the life and legacy of the renowned Armenian merchant and diplomat Manuc Bey.
After the visit, the journey continues to Comrat, the capital of the Autonomous Territorial Unit of Gagauzia. The Gagauzians form a unique Orthodox community of Turkic origin. Lunch will be served at the ethno-tourist complex “Gagauz Sofrası”, a place that beautifully showcases the charm and diversity of rural Gagauz life. Here you will discover traditional architecture, an ethnographic museum, a wine cellar “Gagauz Maazası”, and a restaurant offering authentic Gagauz cuisine.
The next stop is the Gagauz Ethnographic Museum in Besalma village, where you will learn about the history, culture, and ethnographic heritage of this small yet fascinating nation. Overnight stay in Chisinau.
Breakfast in Chisinau and departure to Capriana Monastery. The trip will take us to one of the most picturesque regions of the Codrii reservation, 40 km from Chișinău, where one of the oldest monasteries in Moldova is located – Căpriana (founded in 1429). It was founded in the XVth century during the rule of Alexandru cel Bun and reconstructed by Stefan the Great in 1470. The ensemble includes the Churches of Virgin's Assumption (1545), Saint Nicholas (1840) and Saint George (1907) which about the abbot's house, the refectory and cells. The most ancient is the Virgin's Assumption Church founded by Petru Rares.
A visit to Honey House is a delightful journey into one of Moldova’s most cherished traditions—beekeeping. Guests learn about the process of honey production, the role of bees in the ecosystem, and the different types of local honey, pollen, and bee products. The experience is enriched with tastings of natural honey, storytelling by local beekeepers, and moments of relaxation in an authentic countryside setting. Next, we spend the day with an excursion and wine tasting at Crama Mircești Winery. Located on one of the highest hills in Moldova, this vineyard is literally above all the others in our country. At Crama Mircesti Winery we do wine tasting packages (5 wines) and appetizers.

We depart early for our journey from Moldova to Romania. After the breakfast and check-out, the drive to Iasi town will take approximately 3 hours+, including border crossing formalities. To ensure comfort, several rest stops will be scheduled along the way.

city tour of Iași, one of Romania’s most important cultural and historical centers, invites travelers to discover the soul of Moldavia. Known as the former capital of the Moldavian Principality, Iași is a city of elegant architecture, spiritual landmarks, and a vibrant intellectual life shaped by centuries of history. Strolling through its leafy boulevards and historic squares, visitors explore iconic sites such as the Palace of Culture, Metropolitan Cathedral, renowned universities, Monastery of the Holy Three Hierarchs, Cetățuia Monastery, Copou Park. Rich in heritage yet full of youthful energy, a Iași city tour offers a perfect blend of history, spirituality, and urban charm. Also, you will have lunch at the restaurant where you will enjoy Romanian traditional dishes. Free time and overnight in Iasi.

Brașov will take approximately 4 hours+. Upon arrival in Brașov, we proceed directly to our hotel for check-in, followed by are laxed lunch at the hotel restaurant. The afternoon is reserved for discovering the city. We do a walking tour of Brașov’s historic center, introducing the main highlights of this charming medieval city. Also known as Kronstadt or Corona, the city is the favorite destination of thousands of tourists every year due to the tourist attractions that the city offers. Here we visit the Council Square, the Council House, the Black Church, and Sforii Street in Brașov. Walking through Council Square (Piața Sfatului), past the iconic Black Church, narrow medieval streets, and defensive towers, guests discover the city’s Saxon heritage and rich cultural past. Cozy cafés, elegant buildings, and panoramic viewpoints add a lively, modern atmosphere to this historic setting. The day concludes with dinner at the hotel, allowing guests to unwind after the day’s travel. Overnight in Brasov in the hotel.
Day 8: From Medieval Brașov to Dracula’s Castle and Peles Castle. Transfer to Bucharest International Airport.
In the morning, after breakfast, drive to the scenic village of Bran, which is world-known for Dracula Castle. A tour to Dracula’s Castle in Bran invites travelers into the world of legend, mystery, and medieval history, set against the dramatic scenery of the Carpathian Mountains. Perched on a rocky hill above the charming village of Bran, the castle is one of Romania’s most iconic landmarks, often associated with the legend of Count Dracula. Dracula, the character in the novel of the same name written by the Irishman Bram Stoker, is a Transylvanian count, owner of a castle built somewhere on top of a high cliff, from where he watches over the river valley winding through the Principality of Transylvania.
On the way to Bucharest Airport, we stop to visit Peles Castle in Sinaia town. Built as the summer residence of Romania’s royal family, Peleș Castle impresses visitors with its Neo-Renaissance architecture, richly decorated interiors, and remarkable collections of art, weapons, and craftsmanship. Elegant halls, carved woodwork, stained glass, and royal chambers reflect refinement, innovation, and European elegance. The castle benefits from an impressive artistic heritage consisting of collections of stained glass, furniture and weapons containing pieces dating back to the 15th century.
In-time transfer to Bucharest International Airport to board an onward flight.
