Cultural & Heritage Tour (7 days/6 nights)

Discover the soul of Moldova on a beautifully paced 9-day journey through its cultural heartlands and living traditions. This immersive tour reveals centuries-old monasteries carved into limestone cliffs, charming villages where customs are still part of everyday life, historic towns, and welcoming rural communities.

Tour Itinerary:

Day 1:  Chisinau Walking Tour + Gastronomic Dinner

Warm welcome on arrival at Chisinau International Airport and our representative shall transfer you to your pre booked hotel with check-in formalities. Rest of the day we do a Chisinau Walking Tour (2.5 hours). You’ll explore the city’s main parks, Soviet-era and imperial-style buildings, as well as several of the oldest churches in the capital. Traditional gastronomic dinner and overnight stay in Chisinau.

Day 2:  Old Orhei Tour, Rustic Art Complex, Curchi Monastery, and cooking class

Today’s sightseeing will include a visit to the “Arta Rustică” Folk Crafts Complex, founded by master artisan Ecaterina Popescu. Here, visitors will discover the region’s rich weaving traditions and admire unique examples of traditional folk art.

Lunch will be served in the traditional village of Butuceni or Trebujeni, where you will enjoy authentic Moldovan cuisine.

At Old Orhei complex, you will have the opportunity to take part in a cooking masterclass, where you will learn to prepare traditional Moldovan pies (plăcinte) using local ingredients.

The masterclass is followed by the visit to Orheiul Vechi, an impressive archaeological and natural site nominated for the UNESCO World Heritage list.

Next, we continue with a visit to Curchi Monastery, one of the most beautiful and significant monastic complexes in the Bessarabia region. At the end of the day, you will return to your hotel.

Day 3:  Tiraspol and Bender - Transnistria Full Day Tour

After breakfast, meet your guide in the hotel lobby for your full-day tour of Transnistria. First, you will visit the Bender Fortress that dates back from the 16th century, built by the Moldavian ruler Stefan cel Mare as a part of the defense chain on the Nistru river. In 1538, as the city became a part of the Ottoman empire, the sultan, Suleiman the Magnificent, rebuilt the fortress in stone, and renamed the city as Bender. Then, you will proceed to explore soviet architecture in Bender: Tighina Military Cemetery, Bendery train station, The Gorky cinema, local Mosaics.


Departure to Tiraspol and Lunch in a traditional soviet-style restaurant or bistro in Tiraspol.

In Tiraspol you’ll visit the buildings of the Soviets, the monument of Suvorov and the Central Market. Explore Soviet architecture in Tiraspol: Lenin monument, Suvorov monument, Memorial of Glory, Theater from 1936, University of Taras Shevcenko, House of Soviets, the Soviet parks of Tiraspol.

If you're interested in history or want to see remnants of the USSR, Tiraspol provides an authentic glimpse into that world. Departure back to Chisinau. 

Day 4: Discover Gagauzia Region and Manuc Bey Mansion

After breakfast we will depart to Hâncești for a visit to the Manuc Bey Mansion. Built in 1816, this architectural monument stands as one of the most remarkable historical estates in the country.

After the visit, the journey continues to Comrat, the capital of the Autonomous Territorial Unit of Gagauzia. The Gagauzians form a unique Orthodox community of Turkic origin. Lunch will be served at the ethno-tourist complex “Gagauz Sofrası”, a place that beautifully showcases the charm and diversity of rural Gagauz life. Here you will discover traditional architecture, an ethnographic museum, a wine cellar “Gagauz Maazası”, and a restaurant offering authentic Gagauz cuisine.

The next stop is the Gagauz Ethnographic Museum in Besalma village, where you will learn about the history, culture, and ethnographic heritage of this small yet fascinating nation. Overnight stay in Chisinau.

Day 5: Full day Tour in Soroca

Enjoy breakfast and transfer to Soroca Fortress - located 180 km north from Chisinau. It was built between 1543-1546. 

- Excursion to the monument “Lumânarea Recunoştinţei” (the Candle of Recognition) in Soroca, dedicated to the author of the immortal popular work “Mioriţa”, Ion Druta. You’ll have the opportunity to climb around 650 steps on your way to the monument.

Continue the excursion in Soroca with visiting the Gypsy Hill with their life. The respective houses represent real imposing fortresses, with two or three floors, sometimes even more, made of granite, marble, expensive imported materials, insulated windows, guarded by huge statues.  Lunch in a local restaurant in Soroca. Optionally we can propose you to visit RockScor Brewery in Ghindesti village. 


Return to the hotel in Chisinau. 

Day 6: Mileștii Mici Winery and Petru Costin Soviet Gallery

In the afternoon visit world-famous Milestii Mici Winery, home to the largest wine collection in the world. We are delighted to present to you the best courses of local cuisine in order to understand better the taste and essence of Moldavian Wine. Zeamă, mămăligă with meat and remarkable dessert – dry plums boiled in wine – will initiate you into the dimension of local history and culture. The tour includes the visit of the winery’s fabulous wine cellars and the world-famous wine collection that counts more than 1.5 million wine bottles and a wine tasting program (5 wines) and delicious traditional lunch at the winery. 


Further visit the Petru Costin Collection Gallery in Ialoveni town, a unique private museum created by Colonel Petru Costin, a passionate collector, historian, and Guinness World Record holder. The gallery is internationally known for hosting the world’s largest collection of horseshoes, officially recognized by Guinness World Records. Visitors will also discover an impressive variety of artifacts reflecting Moldova’s history, as well as a special exhibition dedicated to the “USSR – History of an Era.


At the end of the program, the transfer to the airport will be arranged according to flight schedule, ensuring a smooth and timely departure.
